GREEN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING AT VCON 2026
On 6 May 2026, Dr. Tongchate Nakhata, Managing Director of CEDA Co., Ltd., spoke as a guest speaker at VCON: Green Construction for Thailand's Sustainable Future in Bangkok. The event brought the industry together to share knowledge and move Thai construction toward sustainability.
His session, "Green Structural Engineering: Smarter Structural Systems for Faster and More Sustainable Construction", showed how smarter structural design can cut embodied carbon, use materials more efficiently and speed up construction. He also covered choosing the right structural system and using digital tools in design, balancing sustainability, efficiency, buildability and long-term value.
Dr. Tongchate illustrated these ideas with CEDA's own work, including the Chanel Boutique at Siam Paragon, where complex structural challenges were solved with safety, quality and construction speed in mind.
